The National Quilt Museum
The National Quilt Museum is a textile art museum that features modern and contemporary quilts from around the world. It also hosts educational workshops for people of all skill levels.
Established in 1991, The National Quilt Museum is dedicated to educating, honoring and promoting today’s quilt maker, quilts and fiber art. Exhibits

Education
The National Quilt Museum Paducah KY offers a variety of educational opportunities. Its mission is to promote the growth and expansion of quilting through exhibitions, education programs, preservation, and advocacy.
The museum is located in the beautiful and artsy town of Paducah, Kentucky – a historic river town that was recognized as a creative city by UNESCO in November 2013.
Admission to The National Quilt Museum costs $12 for adults, $11 for people over 62, and $5 for children under 12. Members enjoy free admission.
Visitors can spend an average of 60 to 90 minutes in the galleries, says CEO Matt Collinsworth. Afterward, they can shop in the gift shop to find a wide range of quilts, pottery, glass, wood and jewelry by local and national artisans.

You’ll want to spend at least an hour admiring the quilts in each of the galleries. However, you should also take time to read the explanation cards on the walls to learn more about each quilt.
The National Quilt Museum was founded by Bill and Meredith Schroeder, both of whom are passionate quilters. They created the American Quilter’s Society and the National Quilt Museum to elevate the quilting community. Both events brought much-deserved recognition to the art of quilting.
